Four of the region's best Instructors come together to share their knowledge and skill of EXTREME SELF DEFENSE with you in an effort to raise money for the Joni's Angels Martial Arts Scholarship Program - a 501c3 nonprofit program that pays for poverty level youth to attend great martial arts classes - free of charge - for an entire year - free of charge! Saturday, November 8th - The action starts at 10:00 AM* with Expert Instructor, Steve Altfillisch presenting great HANDGUN AND RIFLE DISARMING TECHNIQUES from both Krav Maga and his own personal defense system. These are techniques that are only to be used in life-or-death scenarios ... and they are both EFFECTIVE and BRUTAL!!!
At 12:30, we will break for lunch and fuel up for training with the next great Instructor.
At 1:30, we dive right back into the action with Ajarn Gabriel Harrington and TACTICAL BLADED SELF DEFENSE. Between 1:30 and 4 PM, Ajarn Harrington will be presenting a well-rounded combination of Bram Frank's CSSD, Modern Arnis and Lotus Self Defense that will not only introduce you to the harsh realities of fighting with a blade, but will also teach what you need to know to deal with such a threat effectively!!!
On Sunday, November 9th, a rare treat - back to back presentations by two highly skilled veterans who each have over 40 years of experience in PRACTICAL FIGHTING ARTS.
The fun starts at 10 AM** with Master Mike Edmonson, a mater-level Instructor of Kung Fu San Soo and a direct disciple of the legendary Jimmy Woo! Master Edmonson will be sharing his knowledge and skill in SELF DEFENSE AGAINST MULTIPLE ATTACKERS. Learn how to even the odds when you are confronted by more than one assailant. This presentation will not only teach you what to do in such situations ... it will show you how to easily gain the upper hand! Yet another great presentation that you don't want to miss!
As before, we will break for lunch between 12:30 and 1:30.
The excitement continues from 1:30 to 4 PM with Sifu Charlie Hicks, a master-level Instructor with a background and lineage in Jeet Kune Do (3rd Generation), Wing Chun and Filipino Martial Arts that can be traced directly back to Bruce Lee and the legendary pioneers that brought these well-known fighting arts to the United States! Sifu Charlie will be giving a presentation on EMPTY HAND & WEAPON IMMOBILIZATION and ESPADA Y DAGA ("Sword and Dagger") that you really don't want to miss out on! This great presentation will show you how to take what you learn in the practice of drills and turn them into applicable skills that you can use for real-world self defense!
